WWWWOOOOOO!!!! I did not expect Bilbo and his gang to be chased up a tree by hundreds and hundreds of Wolves and Goblins! This was definitely one of the best conflicts in the book because there is so much ACTION that it makes you want to read more! This wasn't even the best part of the conflict. When those Eagles came in I thought how cool that was to have BROBDINGNAGIAN Eagles come in to save you and the rest of your groups life, I mean that's just awesome! Also when Bilbo had to hold on to that dwarf's ankle for his life I thought he wouldn't have been able to hold on, especially when flying in the air! In the book it said that Bilbo was dropped I thought he would have been devoured or fell to his death, but the Eagle dropped him in his GIGANTIC nest (eyrie)!!!!! This was absolutely one of the coolest conflicts I have ever read in a book!
This was a good conflict! There were so many to choose from, and this was certainly the most popular. I would have liked to hear more about the conflict between the wargs, goblins, and the troup. Why were they fighting? What happened when they were stuck up in the trees? (fire)
